The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) Office of the Election Officer in Taguig City, NCR-4th District, has officially opened the period for Voter Registration and the Register Anywhere Program (RAP) in preparation for the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Elections scheduled for November 2, 2026.
The public is strongly urged to register early, as the registration period runs from October 20, 2025, to May 18, 2026 (unless declared otherwise by the Commission). The office will accommodate applicants from Mondays to Saturdays, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Key Application Services Offered
The COMELEC is accepting various applications to ensure all eligible residents are registered and their records are accurate:
- Application for New Registration (First-time Voter)
- Application for Change of Name/Correction of Entries in the Registration Record
- Application for Reactivation of Registration Records
- Application for Inclusion of Registration Records and Reinstatement of Name in the List of Voters
- Updating of Records of Persons with Disabilities (PWD), Senior Citizens, and members of Indigenous People (IP) and the Indigenous Cultural Communities (ICC)
- Application for Transfer of Registration Records from Foreign Service Post to Local
- Application for Transfer from other city/municipality or within the same city/municipality
Note on Register Anywhere Program (RAP): The Register Anywhere Program (RAP) will only be available until April 24, 2026.
Requirements for Regular Voters (Barangay and SK)
Applicants for voter registration or reactivation must submit one (1) photocopy of a valid photo-bearing identification document that contains the applicant's address in Taguig and signature. Accepted valid IDs include:
- PhilSys National ID
- Postal ID
- PWD ID
- Student's ID or Library Card
- Senior Citizen ID
- Land Transportation Office (LTO) Driver's License or Student Permit
- National Bureau of Investigation NBI Clearance
- Philippine Passport
- SSS/GSIS or other Unified Multi-Purpose ID
- Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) ID
- Professional Regulatory Commission (PRC) License
- Certificate of Confirmation from the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) for members of ICCs or IPs
- Other government-issued valid IDs
Important Reminders for IDs:
If the valid ID does not contain an address, applicants must provide a supporting document such as a Proof of Billing (electric bill, water bill, internet bill, etc.).
Applicants must present the original and submit a photocopy of the required documents.
The following are NOT accepted: Barangay Identification/Certification/Clearance, Cedula, and Police Clearance.
Special Requirements for Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Registrants
Those registering for the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) who are 15-17 years old on or before Election Day (November 2, 2026) must bring the following:
A. Valid IDs:
- PhilSys National Identification ID
- PWD ID
- Student's ID or Library Card
- Philippine Passport
- Certificate of Confirmation from the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) for members of ICCs or IPs
- Other government-issued valid IDs
B. Birth Certificate
Applicants must present the original and submit a photocopy of their documents.
Crucial SK Eligibility Note: Applications will only be accepted from those born on or before November 2, 2011, to meet the minimum age requirement for the SK elections.
