In a landmark initiative to advance science education, Taguig City Mayor Lani Cayetano led the ceremonial turnover and blessing of the Green Lab: Interactive Science and Education Complex and Modern Science Laboratory (ISEC-SAS Lab) at Taguig National High School.
The state-of-the-art facility is designed to transform traditional science classrooms by providing interactive exhibits and high-tech laboratory equipment that will give students hands-on experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
The Green Lab boasts advanced equipment, including:
- 3D Printers – Facilitating the development of custom robotic parts, enhancing students' robotics projects.
- Vacuum Forming Machine – A tool used for creating plastic prototypes and product designs.
- Multi-tool 3D Printer – A versatile machine for 3D printing, drilling, cutting, and refining robotics skills.
- Interactive Projector – Allowing touch-based interaction for dynamic learning and presentations.
- Space Technology Exhibits – Featuring models of Filipino satellites Diwata-1 and Maya-1, designed to inspire interest in space exploration.
- STARBOOKS Kiosk – A digital library providing extensive scientific resources for student research.
- Viewing Deck with Telescopes – Equipped with five small telescopes, enabling students to engage in direct astronomical observations.
The Green Lab was established with support from the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), Omnifab 3D Printing Technologies, and the Philippine Foundation for Science and Technology.

One of the event highlights was a guided tour led by Taguig National High School students. Demonstrating their growing expertise in STEM, students showcased robotics projects, operated advanced 3D printers, and presented innovative models and prototypes to the audience.
The new facility has already made a significant impact, with school officials, teachers, and students expressing their gratitude for this transformative initiative. Mayor Cayetano emphasized the city's commitment to fostering a future-ready generation equipped with world-class scientific knowledge and skills.
With the Green Lab now operational, Taguig National High School is set to become a hub for innovation, paving the way for students to explore and excel in STEM fields.
