The Christmas season has officially arrived in Taguig City! The Taguig People's Park was instantly transformed into a festive holiday wonderland following a spectacular lighting ceremony held on the evening of Saturday, November 22, 2025.

The dazzling display illuminated the popular urban riverfront park, inviting residents and visitors alike to enjoy the spirit of "Ang Pasko sa Taguig ay Pag-ibig."


The lighting ceremony marks another milestone for the park, which has recently undergone changes following the resolution of the territorial dispute between Makati and Taguig. The park, situated along the south bank of the Pasig River in West Rembo, is now firmly under the jurisdiction of Taguig.

Previously known as the Makati Park and Garden from 1998 to 2025, when the Embo barangays were still controlled by Makati City, the area—including the park—was declared part of Taguig following the 2022 Supreme Court ruling on the Fort Bonifacio military reservation. The park has also been known historically as Liwasang Bonifacio, Fort Bonifacio Riverside Park, and Liwasang Makati.



Culinary Delights at TLC Food Park - EMBO

Complementing the festive atmosphere, the park now offers a new culinary destination for its guests. The TLC Food Park – EMBO opened last month in October, providing a wide variety of delicious dishes perfect for sharing with friends and family during the holiday visits.

The food park has been operating daily since October 16, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.



Park Features and Location

The Taguig People's Park is located in West Rembo, Taguig, facing the University of Makati across J. P. Rizal Avenue. Beyond being a community gathering place, the park serves as a bird sanctuary and a plant nursery. A small section of the park extends into the neighboring barangay of Cembo.

With the Christmas lights now shining brightly, Taguig People’s Park is set to be a major destination for holiday merrymaking, offering both visual treats and culinary experiences throughout the season.
