In a bid to support students in need and foster education among the youth, the City of Taguig announces the opening of the online application for the LANI (Lifeline Assistance for Neighbors In-Need) Scholarship Program for the second semester of the academic year 2023-2024. This initiative aims to provide financial assistance to qualified students who are already enrolled in educational institutions.
The application period for the LANI Scholarship Program is from February 1 to February 29, 2024. Interested applicants can access the application form through LANI Scholarship Program Application Form. Additionally, applicants can conveniently scan the QR code for direct access to the application form.
LANI Scholarship Eligibility
To be eligible for the LANI Scholarship Program, applicants must meet the following basic qualification criteria:
- Enrollment Status: Applicants must already be enrolled in an educational institution.
- Voter Registration: If 18 years old or older, applicants must be active voters of Taguig or voters in the "Embo" area where they reside.
- Parental Voter Registration: At least one of the parents must be an active voter of Taguig or a voter in the "Embo" barangay where they reside.
- Residency Requirement: The applicant's family must be residents of Taguig or the "Embo" barangay for at least three (3) years.
- Good Moral Character: Applicants must demonstrate good moral character both in documentation and in actual behavior.
Types of LANI Scholarship
BASIC PLUS SUC SCHOLARSHIP (Public-Public)
Graduates of any public high school in Taguig or nearby LGUs in the NCR, who are enrolled or enrolling in a State University/College (SUC) or Local College/University (LCU) in the NCR.
SUC/LCU (Private-Public)
Graduates of any private school in Taguig or nearby LGUs in the NCR, who are enrolled or enrolling in a State University/College (SUC) or Local College/University (LCU) in the NCR.
BASIC SCHOLARSHIP (Public-Private)
Graduates of any public high school in Taguig or nearby LGUs in the NCR who are enrolled in any private college or university, or in any accredited technical-vocational institution in the NCR.
HONORS [FULL]
Top 10 graduates of PUBLIC HIGH SCHOOLS in Taguig.
PREMIER
Those enrolling in, or enrolled in the University of the Philippines System (Luzon Campuses) & other public & private colleges and universities certified by CHED as Centers of Excellence in the NCR.
PRIORITY
Those enrolling in or enrolled in DOST-listed priority courses in DOST-listed schools, or if persons with disabilities, must be endorsed by the city PDAO, or if taking up law or medicine, must be enrolled or enrolling in top performing schools as listed by the Program based on the listing of PRC/CHED.
