On October 6, as part of the National Teachers’ Month celebrations, the Taguig City government distributed Tablet PCs along with digital accessories to public school teachers.
The initiative commenced by providing 103 Samsung Tab Galaxy 9 tablet sets to 49 principals, 52 teacher presidents, and Schools Division Superintendent Alejandro Ibañez.
A grand total of 6,700 Samsung Tab Galaxy 9 tablets, each equipped with keyboards and pens, are slated to be distributed to all teachers in Taguig, including those in schools situated in the EMBO barangays. These tablets have been specifically designed to aid public school teachers in their lesson planning and student grade recording tasks.
Mayor Lani Cayetano expressed the city's commitment to supporting the professional development of its educators, acknowledging their vital role in shaping Taguig as a Transformative, Lively, and Caring city. According to Ibañez, the generosity displayed by Taguig City in providing educational support is unparalleled.
He emphasized the uniqueness of Taguig's approach, highlighting the significant impact of equipping over 6,000 teachers with cutting-edge technology, setting the city on a path toward a technologically advanced educational landscape. These Tablet PCs and accessories are poised to be invaluable tools, aligning with the city's future vision of technologically-driven education.
