Despite facing disqualification challenges in 2018 during her candidacy for Taguig's 2nd District representative, she emerged victorious in the 2019 elections.

Her political family's influence extended, with her husband, Alan Peter Cayetano, elected as the representative of Taguig–Pateros's 1st District and her brother-in-law, Lino Cayetano, succeeding her as Taguig's mayor.
