Starting today, Monday, May 26, 2025, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) officially resumed the implementation of the No Contact Apprehension Policy (NCAP) on major roads across Metro Manila, including several key routes that pass through Taguig City.
In Taguig, the contactless traffic enforcement now applies to the following major roads under MMDA jurisdiction:
- C.P. Garcia Avenue (C-5)
- South Super Highway
The MMDA emphasized that only national and major roads under their coverage are included in the NCAP's reinstatement.

“It’s the same as before. We’ve been implementing that. It was just put on hold by the TRO,” said MMDA Chairman Atty. Don Artes, referring to the Supreme Court's temporary restraining order that previously halted the program.
Under NCAP, motorists violating traffic laws are identified through CCTV cameras and issued traffic citations without being physically stopped on the road.
“In our opinion, this [NCAP] will greatly help because our apprehension will be through CCTV cameras, and there will be no more physical apprehension. When there’s physical apprehension, you pull over, there’s arguing, sometimes there’s negotiating bribes... that causes traffic delays,” Artes added.
Residents and motorists passing through Taguig are now advised to strictly follow traffic rules to avoid penalties, which will be sent via mail to the registered vehicle owner. The MMDA has also reminded the public to update their LTO vehicle registration details to ensure proper notice of violations.
