On Wednesday, senior citizens in Taguig City began receiving their birthday cash gifts directly at their homes, thanks to the City Government's house-to-house distribution program.
Spearheaded by the Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA) and the Barangay Affairs Office, this initiative aims to ensure the safety and convenience of the elderly beneficiaries.
Under the leadership of Mayor Lani Cayetano, the local government has made it a priority to provide a hassle-free experience for senior citizens, particularly during the distribution of their birthday cash gifts. For the month of July alone, the government is set to distribute 7,746 cash gifts to seniors across various barangays.
The cash gifts, which range from ₱3,000 to ₱10,000 depending on the recipient's age bracket, are part of the city's broader Transformative, Lively, and Caring agenda.
In a special recognition of longevity, seniors who reach the age of 100 receive a birthday cash gift of ₱100,000, a generous amount that is repeated on each subsequent birthday.
This house-to-house distribution reflects Taguig City's commitment to supporting its senior citizens, ensuring they receive their benefits in the most secure and convenient manner possible.
