In an unwavering commitment to enhance employment opportunities for its residents, the City of Taguig has elevated its Taguig Manpower Training Center to a more advanced technical and vocational education facility known as the Taguig Manpower Training and Assessment Center (TMTC).
As the first local government unit in the National Capital Region to pioneer a training and assessment center, Taguig's TMAC stands at the forefront of empowering individuals and the local workforce. The center proudly offers six TESDA-registered and accredited programs spanning hospitality, technology, healthcare, and technical vocation.
Since its relaunch on November 17, 2023, TMTC has commenced classes for three programs: Bread and Pastry Production NC2, Electrical Installation and Maintenance NC2, and Construction Painting NC2.
Remarkably, these classes are provided free of charge to all Taguigeños, with 125 scholars currently benefitting from comprehensive training.
In a bid to expand the horizons of learning, TMTC is in the process of registering additional programs with TESDA. Soon, individuals in Taguig can apply for Barista NC2, Caregiving NC2, and Housekeeping NC2 programs, with applications opening in January 2024.
What sets TMTC apart is its commitment to delivering top-notch education. The center ensures that applicants receive instruction from highly qualified trainers and assessors, utilizing state-of-the-art facilities that can rival those of private technical vocational institutions offering similar qualifications and programs.
In alignment with the City’s Transformative, Lively, and Caring agenda, TMTC takes the lead in equipping individuals with industry-relevant skills. By doing so, it plays a pivotal role in fostering a workforce that is not only job-ready but poised for a brighter and more prosperous future in Taguig. As TMTC continues to evolve, it remains a beacon of education and opportunity, contributing to the city's growth and the personal development of its residents.
