As the City of Taguig prepares to roll out its annual distribution of free school supplies, uniforms, and shoes starting June 13, many parents are eager to know exactly what their children will receive in this year’s package.
What’s Inside the Free School Supplies Kit?
Each student will receive a grade-specific set of items, carefully curated to meet the Department of Education’s learning requirements.
While contents may slightly vary by level, here’s a general breakdown:
Uniform and Shoes Package
Students will also receive:
2 Sets of School Uniforms – These include standard daily wear aligned with DepEd guidelines, complete with patches and trims specific to each school.
1 Set of P.E. Uniform – Breathable and flexible attire for physical education classes.
1 Pair of Black School Shoes – Sturdy, polished, and appropriate for daily school use.
1 Pair of P.E. Shoes (Rubber Shoes) – Comfortable and suitable for physical activity.
The city has emphasized that on-site sizers will be available during the distribution to take accurate measurements for students who have yet to be fitted. Any item that doesn’t fit properly will be replaced at no cost.
This generous program reaffirms Taguig’s commitment to equitable education. “We want every learner to feel confident and supported as they walk into the classroom,” said a Taguig Schools Division official.
