The Korean Cultural Center (KCC) in the Philippines is now glowing with the warm and radiant beauty of South Korea’s iconic lantern tradition, as it officially opened the “Lights of Korea: Jinju Silk Lanterns” exhibit on May 24, 2025.
Running until July 30, 2025, the exhibit features a mesmerizing display of handcrafted silk lanterns from Jinju, a South Korean city renowned for its centuries-old lantern festival culture.
Visitors can now witness firsthand the artistry and cultural significance of these glowing masterpieces—right in the heart of Taguig City.
The opening day was met with enthusiastic crowds, lighting up the cultural center with joy and admiration for the Korean art form.
From intricate floral designs to animal figures and traditional symbols, each lantern reflects the craftsmanship and vibrant heritage of Jinju’s famed Namgang Yudeung Festival.
The exhibit is held at the Korean Cultural Center, located at 59 Bayani Road, Taguig City.
Entrance is free, with no prior registration required, making it accessible for anyone interested in Korean culture, art, or simply looking for a unique visual experience.
