As part of adapting to the new normal, the Taguig Scholarship Office has streamlined the application process for the LANI Scholarship Program.
What is L.A.N.I. Scholarship Program
The Taguig City Scholarship Program, known as the Lifeline Assistance for Neighbors In-need (L.A.N.I.) Program, has been a beacon of hope and opportunity for residents since its establishment in 2011.
Created under City Ordinance Number 9, Series of 2011, and further supported by Executive Order 2011-11, the program began with an initial budget of P100 million. Over the years, additional appropriations have expanded the program’s reach, ensuring that all determined and hardworking individuals have the chance to pursue higher education and improve their quality of life.
Basic Qualification Criteria
To be eligible for the L.A.N.I. Scholarship Program, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Residency: Must be a bona fide resident of Taguig City for at least three years immediately preceding the application.
- Voter Registration: Must be a registered voter of the City if 18 years old or older, with at least one parent also a registered voter of Taguig City.
- Moral Character: Should possess good moral character, evidenced by both documentation and actions.
- Commitment: Must demonstrate a determination to finish their chosen course or pass the bar/board examination.
- Service: Should show a commitment to love and serve Taguig City.

LANI Scholarship Requirementes
Scholarship applicants are to fill out the L.A.N.I. Scholarship Application Google Forms during the Application Period. Information and links with regard to this are posted at the Taguig Scholarships Facebook Page.
Two photocopies of supporting documents are then required to be submitted at the Taguig Scholarship Office at specified dates, with original documents needed for verification. One set of photocopies will serve as the Receiving copy of the applicant. These supporting documents are:
How to Apply for the LANI Scholarship Program
Key information, including dates for online applications, application links (via Google Forms), and other pertinent details, are posted on the Taguig Scholarship Office’s Facebook page (Taguig Scholarships). Announcements regarding the submission of hard copies of supporting documents are also made there.
The Taguig Scholarship Office is located on the second floor of the Senator Renato “Compañero” Cayetano Memorial Science and Technology High School (SRCC or Cayetano Science HS) in Pamayanang Diego Silang, Brgy. Ususan, Taguig City.
Students are encouraged to apply on their own as this is their scholarship. The office discourages sending representatives such as grandparents, parents, or others to apply on behalf of the students. There is no special lane for the elderly, and employees of the city or barangay are also not permitted to submit applications or follow up on behalf of applicants.

Scholars are encouraged to regularly check these sites for announcements and updates, including application schedules, allowance release dates, guidelines, and other related matters.
