In a demonstration of swift response and compassion, Mayor Lani Cayetano of Taguig City personally visited and extended assistance to families impacted by a recent fire incident.

Over the course of April 22 and 23, Mayor Cayetano made rounds in Barangay South Cembo, Barangay Ususan, and Barangay Fort Bonifacio, offering support and reassurance to affected residents.

The fire, which engulfed several homes, left families devastated and in urgent need of assistance. Understanding the gravity of the situation, Mayor Cayetano wasted no time in mobilizing the resources of the city government to provide immediate aid to those affected.

Among the assistance provided were financial aid, sleeping kits, hygiene kits, and food packs, aimed at addressing the most pressing needs of the affected families.

In coordination with local authorities and community leaders, temporary shelters have been arranged for the displaced families. The Fort Bonifacio Multipurpose Sports Complex has been designated as one of the sites to accommodate those in need of shelter, while others have found refuge with their relatives.

The outpouring of support and assistance from the city government reflects Taguig's unwavering commitment to its residents, especially during times of crisis. Through collaborative efforts and solidarity, the affected families are receiving the necessary support to begin the process of rebuilding their lives. As the city continues its relief efforts, Mayor Cayetano urged residents to remain vigilant and proactive in fire prevention measures.
