Due to the possible health hazards brought by the volcanic smog from Taal Volcano which has already spread over Metro Manila, AFTERNOON CLASSES IN ALL LEVELS (FROM PRESCHOOL TO COLLEGE) IN PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SCHOOLS are suspended today, September 22, 2023, Friday.
Despite of this, air quality in the City of Taguig remains safe as particulate matter and sulfur dioxide are at minimal levels.
We, however, remind everyone of the following safety measures to avoid the effects of VOG:
1. Reduce outdoor activities.
2. Close windows to prevent harmful particulate matter from outdoor air.
3. Wear a mask if you are sensitive to the effects of poor air quality.
4. Immediately consult your healthcare provider if you have symptoms.
5. Keep hydrated.
