Residents of Taguig now have a valuable resource at their fingertips with the inauguration of the city's new e-library, spearheaded by Mayor Lani Cayetano. Nestled within the newly constructed multipurpose building in Brgy. Wawa, this expansive and fully air-conditioned facility promises to be a hub of knowledge and learning for the community.

Equipped with 10 computer units, the e-library stands ready to accommodate visitors seeking information and educational resources. Each computer is outfitted with Internet and Microsoft Office capabilities, facilitating tasks ranging from research and writing to multimedia presentations and data analysis.

One highlight of the e-library is its inclusion of the DOST Science and Technology Academic and Research-Based Openly Operated Kiosks, or STARBOOKS. This digital platform offers a vast array of digitized resources focused on science, technology, and innovation, all presented in a user-friendly interface. It serves as a valuable tool for students, educators, and community members alike.

Furthermore, the e-library provides access to the National Library of the Philippines' Tekno-Aklatan program, which offers offline electronic resources. This enables visitors to tap into a wealth of digital collections curated by the National Library, enhancing their research and learning experiences.

With state-of-the-art computer systems optimized for digital resources, the e-library is well-equipped to support academic and professional pursuits. Plans are also underway to introduce Zoom meetings and other video conferencing platforms, further expanding the library's capabilities.

To ensure a seamless experience for visitors, the e-library boasts dedicated personnel from the Taguig City Library, poised to assist users with their inquiries and navigation of the library's resources. With its commitment to fostering education and knowledge-sharing, the e-library in Brgy. Wawa is set to become a cornerstone of learning in Taguig City.

How to Access the E-Library

Walk-in visits by Barangay Wawa residents are allowed while visitors from other areas are requested to book with the barangay their visit at least 24 hours prior to their expected date and time of visit.

Brgy. Wawa E-Library is open Mondays to Fridays from 8:00 am. to 5:00 pm.
