The City Government of Taguig opened its 10th vaccination hub and 5th Community Vaccine Center at Sea Breeze Resort in Brgy. San Miguel on Monday, May 24, 2021.

The summer hotspot now repurposed as a vaccination center will complement the four (4) Community Vaccine Centers as well as the five (5) Mega Vaccination Hubs in the city.

In addition to this, the newly launched Taguig Vaccination Bus is making its rounds to accommodate Taguigeños who are in the hard-to-reach areas. The bus will be stationed in designated areas for two to three (2-3) days.

The city is continuing its preparations as the vaccination of Category A4 will commence. With Taguig City's capacity to inoculate to date, the city can administer 4,000 to 5,000 vaccinations a day. The City targets to finish fully vaccinating 650,000 citizens and 100,000 workers by December 2021 and opening its facilities to NCR thereafter.

Taguig City continuously aims to expand its reach with fast, safe and accessible methods as it conducts its vaccination rollout. Moreover, the local government has provided Taguigeños Home Vaccination for bedridden family members, Vaccination Bus which stations itself in hard-to-reach locations, and free Vax Ikot "hop-on and hop-off" shuttle services which picks up scheduled vaccinees along its 10-point route to the vaccination sites indicated in their appointment tickets.

Mayor Lino Cayetano encourages all Taguigeños to register to TRACE while awaiting for their turn to get vaccinated. The City continues to deploy teams to handle house-to-house registration while kiosks for TRACE registration are available in all barangays for those who do not have proper access to internet or online connection.

“In Taguig, we want what’s the best for our constituents. We are continuously looking for more ways on how we can make the vaccines accessible to all Taguigeños. The local government also assured it has ordered a diverse portfolio of vaccines to complement the national government supply to ensure citizens attain their vaccination free of charge, said Mayor Lino Cayetano.

"By the end of the year, we can vaccinate everyone, so I encourage all Taguig residents to register at TRACE. If you're part of the city's current priority list, you may choose your preferred vaccination schedule,” he added.

The City Government of Taguig expands its efficient pandemic response by having more vaccination centers placed strategically in the city; adding more sites to further accomodate and inoculate citizens in Taguig safely.

As of May 23, a total of 68,719 Taguigeños who are part of the A1, A2, and A3 categories have already been vaccinated against COVID-19.
