May 9 was a day of merriment and thanksgiving at the Melon Plantation in Barangay Sta. Ana as Taguig City celebrated the 2nd Melon Festival as part of the month-long celebration of the city's 432nd Founding Anniversary.

Hundreds of farmers and residents got fiesta feels with men on stilts and resounding drumbeats taking over the site of the fest. Some even participated in games, such as the melon eating, melon relay and melon run.

The event was capped by a boodle fight, reinforcing the spirit of community in the probinsyudad, where there thrives with the urban life a profitable agricultural sector.
